NEWTON KING’S REPORT. Messrs Newton King Ltd., report as follows: On Monday, February 2, we held our Annual Sheep Fair at Ivohuratahi. Sheep ennie forward in advertiser! numbers, and we report practically a total clearance under the hammer at recent prices. Cattle -were, yarded in good numbers, but probably owing to the- lateness of the. day when offered, and also to buyers having sheep to attend to—these were hard of sale. Quotations: Wether lambs 23s Id; ewe lambs 21s; m.s. lambs 19s 4d to 20s 6d, 2th; wethers 31s 3d to 34s Id, 2tli ; ewes 39s Id. 39s 2d down to. 34s 9d", 6th: ewes 32s "lOd; 4 and 5 year ewes 29s Id (very late shorn) to 325; Romney rams 4£ guineas; (all sheep yarded were shorn); 18 months steers £3 13s to £4 3s ; bullocks £7 6s ; mixed P.A. steers and heifers. 18 months £3 10s: store, cows at late rates.
