FORTY ARRESTS MADE,

The Times’ Munich correspondent says: “Upward of forty members of a Communist secret society have been arrested and will be charged with high treason. The arrests followed the discovery of documents revealing nil organised plot to overthrow the constitution. The society’s activities embraced Southern Bavaria, and had its centre in Berlin, to which reports were periodically transmitted.
INDIAN COMMUNIST EXPELLED.
(Received Feb. 3, 9.10 a.m.) PARIS, Feb. 2. French authorities, at the request of the British Government, have deported a man named Ruv, a well-known Indian Communist and editor of the Indian Communist newspaper Vanguard.
