ENTERTAINMENTS.
ST. LEON’S CIRCUS AND RODEO'. evening St. Leon’s huge tent will be erected in Hawera. Tiie ability of 1 an organisation to keep abreast of the times all through long lives is the test of its worth. On the other hand 'if there is an institution that can enjoy a long and popular life it shows that there is nosenile decay about it. St. Leon’s circus is a good example of the latter class. It is over eighty years of age and going stronger than ever. Immediately after the recent big rodeo competition held at the Olympia, Melbourne, the St. Leons made an offer for the complete outfit to tour New Zealand, so that the people of the Dominion will now have an opportunity of seeing these notorious outlaw horses and wild mules handled by ten of Australia’s best rough riders, including the winner of the championship, Vic. Cowan, and the runner-up, Will Dodd. Beth of these brilliant horsemen will give exhibition rides on both race, nights.
