(by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 29. The matter of the postponement of Hie New Zealand swimming championship meeting has not yet been considered by the authorities. Prominent officials of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association, the body responsible for the holding of the chainpionship carnival, agreed to-day that the position at present would make it appear that there will have to he a postponement for probably a month. The officials of the New Zealand Council and Centre will confer in regard to the matter within a day or so, when a decision will be made.
