SECOND APPEARANCE

An attractive programme of vocal and instrumental items was given b> this talented company on their second appearance at the Opera House last night. Every performer was given a cordial reception and each item was followed by enthusiastic applause.

PERRY BROS.’ CIRCUS AND ZOO

Perry’s big circus opens a two performance season in Hawern on Friday, January 30. For the young a circus never loses its glamour, but for the old. who grow discriminating with the years, much depends on the quality of the performance. If a circus is exceptionally good, they enjoy it, but it must he above the average. Perry Bros.’ Circus includes artists from America, France, England, Spain and Australia. The show comprises 40 artists, in addition to the animals. Included in the list of artists are the international stars, the five Perrys, springboard flyers and acrobats, tenttop trapeze performers; Alberto, the wizard on the wire; the Delevante sisters, whirling dental artists; the Sahara Arabs, tumblers of the Sahara; Lizzie Mackie, champion lady equestrienne ; the Elmos perch and ladder balancers -and risley artists; La Belle Vera, in a spectacular butterfly dance on horseback; Le Henri, who throws I backward and forward somersaults I from the ground to the hacks of galloping horses; La Belle Maisie. ceiling walker and trapeze artist; George Kay, in a six-horse picture act; the Klentos, in a very funny fall from the roof act; three Dolly Yardens on the whirling whizz; Daphne and Dorrie, juvenile contortionists; Master James, chair balancer; George, Olio and Bobo, the three clowns who keep the fun going. In addition there are lions, tigers, jaguars, racoons, baboons, and many other animals attached to the show.
