A. hitch, has occurred over the picking up of crews, when the men demanded to be paid for yesteiduy, though their services were not required till to-day. MOERAKI AND MANUKA INVOLVED.
Received Jan. 28, 12.40 p.m. MELBOURNE, Jan. 28. Threats that further trouble was likely before the steamer Moeraia leaves Melbourne have been made in union, circles. It was definitely stated that upon, the release of the thirtyfour men from gaol to-day. if the compa.nv attempted to man the Mooraki and Manuka, with a similar complement as it had been previously desired the Moeraki to sail with, the men would absolutely refuse to take the steamers to sea.- —Aus.-N.Z.
