WOMAN SENT TO ASYLUM
DOCTORS DECLARED HER SANE.

The Paris correspondent of the Daily Express i - eports that remarkable revelations concerning Countess Helene de Chateaubriand, a beautiful ‘ and wealthy Frenchwoman, have caused a sensation in France. The Countess states that she was seized in the street and carried off by order of relatives to a private lunatic asvlum at Malmaison, where the exPresident (M. Paul Deschanel) sent her. The head of the establishment refused to take the Countess, whom the relatives then took to another asylum. When she refused to enter, seven people held her while a hypodermic needle was inserted and she was drugged. Finally the Countess escaped. Four well-known doctors assert that she is in perfect health. A sensational sequel in the law courts is expected.
