Major Cooper, Inspector of Accidents in the Air Ministry, giving evidence at the Croydon disaster enquiry, said that the most probable cause of the accident was the partial failure of the engine. It was impossible to express a definite opinion regarding the cause thereof, but he regarded the condition of flex petrol piping with grave suspicion.—Reuter.
