Mr A. McNeil, Railway Business Agent for the district from Palmerston North to New Plymouth, is at present in Hawera in connection with his work. The friends of Mr Sargeson, who had a nasty" fall while engaged on interior work on the Bank of New Zealand new building, will he glad to leai’n that he is making good progress, no serious injury being sustained. At the last meeting of the Wanganui Education Board, it was resolved to tender its hearty congratulations to the Hon. Sir James Parr on the honour recently conferred on him by the King.
