OWNERSHIP OF HEROIC,

After the sale of the colt Heroic to Mr Wenke, the latter entered the horse for the Newmarket Handicap. Wenke was summed before the Victoria Racing Club Committee regarding the ownership of the horse. Later a setatement was issued that the evidence submitted did not satisfy the committee, who- decided to reject the entry.

TRENTHAM, Jan. 24
The Wellington Racing Club’s summer meeting concludes to-day. The weather is fine and the tracks are again excellent. The attendance is iarge. Results of the races are under:
Wallaceville High Weight Handicap —Kalakaua 1, Wenclx 2, Otauru 3. Scratched: En Route and Sayonara. Won by a length, one and a half lengths Between second and third Time, 2.213.
