HAWERA WATER SUPPLY.
PRESSURE FOR. THE WEEK. The average pressure of water on the Hawera Borough. Council's supply main at 9 a,m. this week has been 14 pounds to the square inch. In the table published below, which is compiled from the records kept by the Town Clerk’s office, the pressure readings for 9 a.m. and 12 o’clock noon, are given, also, the highest pressure recorded during the night following. The figures speak for themselves, the only point calling for notice being the exceptionally low reading on Monday morning. But then Monday is washing day ! The Star will publish the pressure records regularly in future. This week’s are : Pressure readings (lbs to square inch) Date 9 a.in. Noon. Night
