FULL RINKS CONTEST

(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 22. The weather was somewhat threaten-, ing when play in the seventh round of the Dominion rinks championship commenced to-day. The afternoon was bright and sunny. Overnight rain had made the greens less fiery. The following are the winners of 8,7, 6or 5 games in the respective sections. Those with 6 or more wins quality for postsectional play: Section A.—A. Smart (New 1 Jymouth), Chegron (Beckenham), and Prid-dle (Newt-own), 6 wins; Redpath (Canterbury), Foster (Carlton), Luhan (Levin) and Norwood (Victoria), 5 wins. Section 8.-—Fairway (Wellington), Tonkin (North-East Valley) Stephens (Kelburn), 6 wins; Steam (Opawa) and Lamb (Carlton), 5 wins. Section C.—'Wylie (Newtown), 7 wins; Stewart (Dunedin), 6 wins; Smith (Picton) and Potter (Wellington), 5 wins. Section D.—Powell (Wellington) and Brackenridge (Newtown), 7 wins; Howarth (Canterbury), 6 wins; Kerr (Masterton), 5 wins. Section E. —Bremner (Remuera), 7 wins; A. Pollock (Newtown) 6 wins; Johnson (Hutt), Hain (Invercargill), Billcliff (United) and Bringans (Khandallah), 5 wins.

The afternoon is president’s day, and the semifinal and final for the championship will be played.
