MOTOR REGISTRATION.

RUSH IN HAWERA. All day to-dav the officer at the Hawera Post Office who has been specially detailed to attend to the business of motor registration under the new Act has been working at top speed. A regular rush of applications has set in. lii conversation with a Star reporter this afternoon, the postmaster (Mr J. P. O’Gorman) said that two vital particulars which owners had to furnish in registering their vehicles were the engine number and the chassis number. Many people who called at the post office to-day had neglected to make sure of these numbers, so their requests ■for registration have had to be held over. Owners who have not yet applied for registration should note the requirements in tin's direction.
