MORE SHIPS WANTED. LABOUR POLICY REVERSED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIO HT LONDON, Jan. 21. The Daily Express says: The Admiralty is pressing the Government to lay down lour new cruisers this year, including three omitted by the Labour Government from the previous Conservative Government’s programme of eight during 1924, of which the Labour Administration only laid down five. The Admiralty is also asking for (restoration of the programme of auxiliary craft which was completely scrapped by the Labour Government, including three submarines, two gunboats, an aircraft carrier and a minelayer.
