• • WHILE IN PRISON. SY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHI . LONDON,-Jan. 19. The Chief Justice, in dismissing the appeal of Ernest Everett, who was sentenced to seven years’ penal servitude for forgery, pointed out that when Everett was arrested lie possessed 450 forged currency notes. It was' surprising that when previously imprisoned for forgery Everett should have been •given the task of learning to engrave, at which he became extraordinarily efficient. The selection of such a prison task for a convicted forger required immediate inquiry.
