POLICEMAN MURDERED.
A WOLVERHAMPTON MYSTERY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Jan. 19. The mysterious murder of Albert Willetts, a young policeman, while on his beat in the centre of Wolverhampton, is exercising the authorities. Apparently YVilletts detected a man peering into the window of a nursing home and arrested him. Then it is surmised someone crept up behind him in the darkness and fired three shots, the bullets piercing Willetts’ brain. The murderer escaped.
