Under the direction of the Hawera Scottish Society, a concert programme is to 1)0 submitted in the Kaponga Town Hall this evening in aid of the “])lue” candidate contesting the “popular girl” carnival. Mr. \V. G. ( Simpson, whose Scottish comedy sketches a,re favourably known to district audiences, will be one of the principal attractions, while amongst other contributions by visiting artists the performance to be given by a bevy of Miss Moore’s dancing pupils may be anticipated with"pleasure. The supporting items are said to be excellent, and as Mr. Simpson is arranging the programme it may be depended upon to provide Measure throughout. COOKERY ROOKS TREE.
