Air Baird spoke on behalf of the staff, expressing sorrow at Air Crawford’s departure, as he had been a very good boss to work with and was very considerate to the men. They were sure the grading staff were very fortunate in securing Mr Crawford’s services. Messrs Stanley, Price, Barry, Wright. Campbell and several other members.of the staff endorsed the chairman’s remarks, and all joined in singing “For he’s a jolly good fellow.” Air Crawford, in responding, said he was very sorry to leave Riverdale.' He always tried to do his best for the men, and it was due to the co-opera-tion of the men working under him that the factory had been run in an efficient way. He took it as a great honour to see' all the staff present, and trusted they would do their very best to make the way easy for his successor. The function broke up at an early hour with the singing of “Aukl Lang Svne.” 1
