ANNUAL PICNIC
All arrangements, for the Hawera Scottish Society’s picrtic, to be held at Ngaere Gardens on Wednesday next, are well forward. A special train has been chartered, and will leave Hawera at 10.12 a.m., leaving Ngaere again on the return journey at 6.28 p.m. The services of the Eltham Pipe Band have been arranged for, and a real jovial, sociable outing is promised to all members and intending members and their families. As stated in the advertisement, special excursion fares have been arranged, and tickets are now available from Messrs W. G. Simpson, D. McCormick, P. Buchan and J. E. Campbell. As only a limited number, of tickets have been issued, intending picnickers should make early application. In the event of the day being wet the train may be cancelled by the society’s executive before 8 o’cloclc on the morning of the 21et. '<
