The Wellington Trotting Club's animal meeting opened to-day in o weather. The course was dry. There was a fair attendance, and the totalisatur handled £22,825, anginst £22,735 last year. Results:— j Hutt Park Trial Handicap, mdes. —Ena Black (J. Fletcher) 1, Winter Audubon 2, Mary Brown 3. Also started: Trumpeter, ITramie, High Light, General Bingen, Caprice, .Jingle Jtells, Rothschild,'Excelsior, Beatty, Peggy Logan, St. Fillan. Won by four lengths, six lengths between second and third. Time, 3.35 2-5.
