— . w PASSENGER BOAT DELAYED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. SYDNEY, Jan. 11. The last of the passenger vessels linking the capital cities of the Commonwealth has been tied up. The Commonwealth liner Largs Bay .was pulling out from the wharf, when the deck hands rushed on deck, some jumping on to the wharf and others lowering themselves by ropes, leaving their gear behind them. The ti’ouble was anticipated, as the crew was a man short in the deck department, and every effort on the part of the management to secure a man failed. Over 500 passengers are on board the vessel, which is tied uii in Double Bay until Monday, when a fresh effort will be made to get her away. The Levuka, which was due to sail at midday, also failed to get away. Fresh efforts by the owners to secure a crew for the Dongarra also failed. The whole three disputes have arisen over the management’s refusal to engage crews at the Seamen’s Union headquarters. TROUBLE AT MELBOURNE. MELBOURNE. Jan. 11.
