LONDON TALLOW MARKET. The Bank of New Zealand produce department has received the following advice from its London office under date 7th insfc.: —“Tallow: There is a good demand. Current quotations:Gaod mutton, 54s 3d to 54s (id per cwt; beef and mixed, 52s (id ; ’gut, 43s to 48s. DALGETY AND CO. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the 7th iost: —“1000 casks of tallow offered ; 760 sold. Since our last report" prices are Gd to Is per cwt higher. 'There is scarcely any demand for best descriptions.” DAIRY PRODUCE. • Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the 7th inst: —“Butter: Since ciur last report prices are 4s per cwt lower. Price for N.Z. salted is now 1725. N.Z. exceptional brands 1745.” N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE. 'The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency, Co., Ltd., have ' received the following cablegram from their London house under date 7th inst. : “'Tallow: We- quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton 55s 9d per cwt, good beef 52s 3d, mixed 47s (kl; market active. “New Zealand dairy produce: Butter, choicest, salted 170 sto 172 s per cwt; market stagnant. Cheese: 97s to 98s per cwt; market firm. Comparatively small supply.”
