STRATFORD BEAT W ATTAR A. The Stratford green was in good order on Thursday afternoon, when Stratford and Waitara met in the centre competitions. The home team won three, drew one, and were beaten in two rinks, the margin in the aggregate being 22 in their favour. The scores were Stratford 121, "Waitara 99. ELTHAM CLUB.
Playing for the Pins, the holders (Blacicstock, Johnson, McKay and Bary) had an easy win from their challengers (Stanners, Rowe, Bootten and Murray) by 33 to 12. Rowe and Tiplady, who challenged for the Pairs Ferns, decisively.-beat the holders, Moran and Halpin, scoring 33 to their opponents’ 10. Curiously another 33 was made, this time by McKay in the handicap singles against Vincent, whose score was 18. Astburv had a good win in the championship over Tiplady by a margin of nine points, 30 to 21.
Avon heat Inglewood on Thursday in the banner competition, a good match leaving them winners by three points. Stratford are playing Avon to-day on the latter’s green.
