The strong hand exercised by the Government during the past few days to maintain order and respect for constituted authority is revealed in the report of the Minister for the Interior, showing that nearly 100 clubs werq (losetl. Twenty-five organisations were dissolved, 120 branches of the Italia Liberia Association were .closed, 111 revolutionaries arrested and 150 cafes closed. No fewer than 655 domiciliary searches were made. Parliament will reassemble on Januarv 12 to discuss the Electoral Reform Bill.
