FELL AMONG FLOWERS
"KING OF BEER-RUNNERS” SHOT HEAD. ' S CHICAGO, Nov. 12. r Dion_ Obannion, called by the police the “King of beer-runners',” has been shot dead by three gunmen, who invaded the flower shop which Obannion used to cover his under-world activities. Thus this man, with a long police record, had, as a winding-sheet in death, large clusters of American Beauty roses and chrysanthemums—for his body, riddled with bullets, fell among heaps of flowers as the assassins fled. The police think the fatal feud in the gang was connected with rum-running. Obannion was snipping flowers .to make an Armistice Day wreath wlien the three men entered and started shooting. He fell before he could reach the automatic pistol at his hip—because one of his visitors was shaking his right hand wlnhi the firing began. The gunmen escaped in a motorcar. . - , .
