SEVEN-GILLED SHARK
\ RARE SPECIES DISCOVERED

An eight-foot seven-gilled shark, a very rare species, was captured at Blenheim by a deep-sea fishing club party at Port Ligar, Pelorus Sounds, during the holidays. QiiLv two or three of this tvpe of shark have been taken in New‘Zealand waters previously. This shark was in excellent condition, and a beautiful blood-red colour underneath, with a greenish-brown back.
