OPERA. HOUSE, HAWERA. WEDNESDAY A THURSDAY NEXT. “WOMAN TO YVOMAN.” A picture surprisingly beautiful and brilliant will be witnessed at the Opera. House next Wednesday and Thursday, when “Woman to Woman,” tlie picture version of the popular stage success, recently played in Hatvera. by Lady Forbes Robertson, will be shown. H.B.H. the Prince of Wales, the Prime Minister of England, Lord Burnham, and a representative committee of British producers and exhibitor® made the following statement in. connection with British Film YVcek in England “Pride of Place must be given to ‘Woman, fjjj Woman’.” This in competition with seventy rival attractions. Those who have seen Miss Comp son in the past remember her exquisite acting, but nothing she lias ever done can compare with her delineation of Deloryse in this pieturisation of Michael Morton’s successful '.stage play of the same name. The leading male role is played by Clive Brook, whose sturdy masculinity is an (admirable -foil for Miss Oomp.son’.s dainty girlishness-. Josephine Earle and Marie Ault are most convincing in their characterisations and add much to. the reality of the production.
The settings are not only magnificent ,but- in the best- of taste, and Graham Outts is to be congtofcilated oil his good judgment. As for the story itself, it is brimming with poignant appeal. The little Ire rich Girl, Louise Boucher, dances her way into your heart and when -she becomes the great artiste, increases her grip upon your affections. All in all. ‘Woman to YYomaii’ ’ 'is distinctly worth while, and no one who enjoys a really good photoplay can afford to miss it.
