INFANTILE PARALYSIS
SCARE UNJUSTIFIED. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 5. Dr. Valintine states that the outbreak of infantile paralysis has not assumed epidemic proportions, and-there i# nothing to justify a scare. Elaborate precautions are being taken to ensure isolation and disinfection. Up to Saturday 50 cases had been received at Wellington Hospital and nine deaths reported. Two deaths occurred at Petone.
