DOMINIONS’ VOICE
IN EMPIRE COUNCILS. PEACE PROTOCOL. AND IMPERIAL DEFENCE. The attitude of the majority of the Dominions towards Mr. Chamberlain’s tripartite security scheme has resulted in the rejection of the Protocol. The Dominions have now demonstrated that they are to take full advantage of their right to share in the shaping of Imperial policy.

(Received Jan. 5, 11-10 a.m.) V LONDON, Jan. 4 The newspaper The People says that the Committee of Imperial Defence has rejected the Protocol, which, following upon the Dominions’ rejection of Mi Chamberlain’s tripartite security scheme, embracing France, and Britain, under the League of Nations, has finally killed the 1 rptocol, leading to the abandonment oi t-ne Disarmament Conference. Mr Amerv is disappointed at the Dominions’ attitude, which he regards as a staggering blow to the Government s desire to consult the Dominions a every opportunity. '
