An inquest was held at Greymouth on James Peter Toohey, a member of Behan’s tunnelling party at Lake Coleridge, who was visiting Greymouth on holiday and. who was found dead on the breatsowork of the Mawhera Quay. Evidence was given that deceased was sober, and had probably fallen over the wharf in the darkness. Over £IOO was found in his pockets. Death was caused by haemorrhage. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
