Canada exported to Australia goods valued at 19,923,997 dollars, a betterment of 1,140,231 dollars, compared with the previous fiscal year. The imports from Australia were valued at 1,037,426 dollars. The principal Canadian products shipped to Australia were automobiles and automobile parts and accessories, agricultural implements and lumber. - Passenger automobilies alone represented more than a quarter of the value of all exports They numbered 14,461, valued at 5,343,063 dollars, being an increase ot 2624 cars, but a"decrease of 48.267 dollars in value. Exports of freight automobiles totalled 7387, valued at 2,512,265 dollars, a betterment -of 5510 cars and 1,764,407 dollars in value. The. biggest item in the fist of imports : from Australia during the year was raw wool, the purchases of which were 1,124,481 pounds, valued- at 442,548 dollars, a decrease of 276,382 pounds and 16,513; dollars in value. In worsted tops the purfchases totalled 259,591 pounds, valued at' 214;122 dollars, a ‘falling off of 341,184 pounds and 184,210 dollars in value. The only outstanding increase in purchases from Australia was in 'raw sheepskins, the imports of which totalled 521.063 ooiinds, valued at 103,597 dollars, the betterment being 361,605 pounds and 79,420 dollars in value: The Australian market, supplied Canada with 62,608 Hounds of raw cattle skins, valued at 8869 dollars, a decrease ; of ,369,625' pounds and 51.431 dollars in value. Imports of undressed fur skins were valued at 24,420 dollars, a decrease of 83,626 dollars.
