BILLIARD ROOM RAIDED.

POLICE ACTIVITY. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DANNEVIRKE, Dec. 30. The customary serenity of local bil-liard-room habitues was somewhat disturbed this afternoon, when two separate parties of police paid uninvited calls to two rooms and arrested' the proprietors, Harry Drinkwater and John Francis Flynn, on charges of keeping common gaming-houses. The accused appeared later in court, and were remanded till January 8. Bail of £2OO each was forthcoming.
