The course is heavy/ Results:—' Fitzroy feack.—Calm E.ve 1, Close Fire 2. General Pryde '3. Scratched : Gold Rangi. Won by half a length. Time, 1.33. Electric—Lucernal •1, Roburite 2, Shut Eye 3. Scratched: Bon Don, Mint Leaf. ‘Won by a neck.' Timej 1.4. Summer Handicap—Treadwell 1, The Banker 2, Rehutai 3. Also ran: Mountain Ore, Interest. Won bv a length and a quarter. Time, 1.17‘2-5. MANAWATU MEETING CONCLUDING DAY. PALMERSTON N., Dec. 29. For the concluding day of Manawatu meeting the weather was threatening. There was another large attendance. Results: Hurdles—Waioeka Jack 1, Demagogue 2, Little River 3. All started. Ten lengths separated first and second, and a neck second and third horses. Time, 3.19 4-5. Whitmore Handicap—Potoanui 1, Bonnie Nurse 2, All Gold 3. All started. Won by a length and a half. Time, 1.21 1-5. Juvenile Handican—Gaillard 1, Lady Bentinc-k -2, Gold Box 3. Scratched: Stannard. Wonby a head, six lengths separating second and third horses. Time, 1.3. _ Liverpool Handicap—Gaze 1. Star Ranger 2, Koodoo 3. All started./Won by a length and a half. Time, 1.57.
