I--'*' '• (Prom Our Own Correspondent). SCHOOL CONCERT. The concert given by the pupils of the State School was largely attended, and proved a most enjoyable one. The numerous items were enthusiastically received, and in amny instances >vere very creditably rendered. At the annual breaking-up ceremony opportunity was taken to say farewell to Miss McLean, who has for some years filled the position of infant mistress. Miss McLean, who is severing her connection with school teaching, is to be married. shortly. She was the recipient of a silver teapot, silVer serviette rings, and silver salt cellar from the pupils, and art afternon tea set from the staff. Occasion was also taken to farewell Miss Free and Mr Sinclair, who are leaving to enter the’ Training College. Miss Free was presented with a beautiful painted vase and Mi- Sinclair with a fountain pen.
