INMATES! ENTERTAINED.
Last evening N the . members of St. Vincent de Paul .Society visited the Old Men’s Honie and entertained the inmates, the following contributing items: Mrs Goodson, .Misses Maida Hooker, Carr, O’Brien, Goodson - and Mr V. Walsh.. The president, Mrs 0. Ferguson, gave a neat little speech and presented, each man with a- small gift and wished Christmas greetings on behalf of the society. Sherlock Holmes, the famous detec- - tive of fiction, smoked strong black shag tobafeco and derived inspiration from it when puzzling ever some problem of more than ordinary complexity.
