CHRISTMAS ATTRACTIONS. Commencing this evening the management/ of, the Opera, House open up with a good line of first-class attractions fqr the Christmas season. This evening a. iWilliam, Fox super production, “The Shadows of the East,” it is a -shadow of the past with a wonderful future. To-morrow (Christmas) night a special feature will be presented—“Htmting Big Game in. Africa with Guri and Camera.” Compressing two years of travel and adventure into two hours of thrills, Mr., H. A. Snow’s great film triumph, “Hunting Big Game in Africa with Gun and Camera,” screening at the Opera House Christmas night, has an immense appeal for old and young alike, for the scientist, for the educationist, for the mad in - the street—in fact, for folk of all ages of both sexes, and of all degrees' in life. Commencing Friday, Constance Talmadge- will air her views on matrimony in her latest comedy, “The Goldfish,” which Jerome- Storm recently directed for producer Joseph M.. Sclienck. In the picture Constance is married four times,'; is divorced twice, is .a widow once and turns down only two out of six proposals. Rather a hectic marital career! “The Goldfish” was adapted by C. Gardner Sullivan from Gladys Unger’s stage play in which Marjorie Rambeau was featured. Jack Mulhall i s Constance’s leading man. Others having prominent roles in the cast are Jean Hersholt. GR AND THEATRE TO-NIGHT. “THE BROKEN SILENCE.” The pieturisation of James Olliver Curwood’s famous novel, “The Broken Silence,” will be presented at the Grand to-night. The story tells of the love of Cameron Bruce, aiv officer in the Royal Northwest Mounted Police, for Jeanne Marat. Jeanne, by the way, is more than ably played by beautiful Zena Keefe, one of the most talented - artistes before the camera, to-dav, while the role of Bruce is in the capable hands of Robert^ -Elliott..
