A NOTED JOURNALIST.
VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegraph.—Special to Star) WELLINGTON. Dec. 24. Signor Filippo Sacchi. the noted Italian journalist of the staff of the “Corner© Della, Sera,” was a passenger by the Maunganui, which, arrived at Wellington yesterday from ’Frisco. Signor Sacchi has been commissioned to make a tour of the Pacific Islands. New Zealand and Australia, for the purpose of gaining knowledge as to th© conditions prevailing cn this side of the world. He holds a letter of introduction ta the Prime Minister and other prominent citizens in Wellington. Signor Saechi is also keenly interested in New Zealand newspapers.
