WAHINE PUTS UP RECORD. LBY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Dec, 23. The Union Company’s ferry made splendid runnings to-dav. The Wahine a Welling-ton-Lyttelton record. Th© steamer left Lyttelton at 9.25 a.m. to-day. She ran into bad weather on two occasions on the journey, but arrived at 6.15 p.m., averaging 20.4 knots per hour. Th‘e Maori left Wellington at 8.20 a.m. and averaged 18i knots.
