POLISH HONOURS.

FOB AUSTRALIANS. The Consul-General of Poland (Mr G. F. Eavp) has (the Sydney Morning Herald reports) received from- the President of the Republic of Poland, in recognition of work done for the Poles during and after the war, the insignia and diplomas of the order “Polonia Restituta,,” conferring the dignity of Knighthood of the Order for the following:—Dame Nelhe Melba. Mrs G. N. Earp. Sir William Cullen, Sir Thomas Hughes, Mr W. A. Holman, Mr C. A. Earp, Mr A. J. Marltowicz, Mr G. P. Earp.

The Consul-General has received a telegram forwarded from Albany, sent hv Dame Nellie Melba, in which the diva expressed her delight at receiving the honour, and asking the ConsulGeneral to send the insignia and diploma to No. 15 Mansfield street, London.
