DUNEDIN, Dec. 22. The mammoth, art union was drawn tq-night. The result of the first six. awards were as follows:—First (£1000), D. C- Smith (Dunedin); second (£500),ticket number 005783; Auckland; third (£200). H- Pickering, Opunake, Tara/ naki; fourth' (£100); Mr Gray, Omomi Seacliff; fifth, Mr D. Kennard, Enfield, North Otago-; - sixth (£100), Thomas- Cawle, Mahakipawa, Marlborough. : BODY WASHED ASHORE. AUCKLAND, Dec. 22.' The body of a man was found on Rangitoto Island to-day. Its decomposed state indicates that. the.. de-. ceased had been washed up on the beach, some considerable time ago. The features were unrecognisable. Papers found on the body bore the name of John Grant Macandrew, an electrician. ; Aged man’s death.
