MOTORING INTERESTS.
ELTHAM’S ACTIVITIES. At a recent meeting of the Eltham branch of the Automobile Association, the president (Mr T. B. Crump) said that Eltham were strongly in favour of supporting the South Taranaki Association, which had. been incorporated since 1914,‘ and approved of the objections to amalgamation with the north. They also approved of the motion recommending the abolition of toll-gates so soon as the Motor Vehicles Act came into force. They are asking the association to convene a general meeting for the purpose, inter alia, of fixing the rules and also the contribution to the branches from the main funds. The president and secretary (Mr C. Harrison) were appointed to represent the branch at any meeting to he held. It was resolved to recommend to the association to use the Royal Automobile badge, as used hv Wellington.
