< Tenders for the erection of the Boy Scouts’ Hail were considered by the Scouts’ committees last night/' but nnalitv was not reached in view of negotiations being entered into with the Plunket Society tor Hie sharing with them of the building. A sub-com-mittee.. consisting of Messrs Bone, Dixon. Hobbs and Evans was set up to confer with the representatives of the Plunket Society, and no doubt they will be able to report something definite on Monday. The Hawera Boy Scouts will be weii catered for on Monday night, when n social evening will be held in the Foresters’ Hall. The promoters of the function are the enthusiastic- ladv supporters of the local troup, and they may be relied upon to give the Scc.uts and parents who attend a good time.
