Jnce, whose pictures have been responsible for the coining of the phrase “The luce Punch,” has delivered again. “The Marriage Cheat,” a First National picture, which opened.at the Opera House last night, contains that “punch” In generous measure,- and in addition relates one of the most appealing romances we have ever seen flashed on the silver sheet. With such a. romantic background as the South Sea Islands, Director Wray has fashioned a film that possesses an appeal to all types of motion picture lovers. There are marvellous scenic shots of the noted islands; there is a love story and much pathos. The programme includes a comedy entitled “Holy Smoke,” an interesting scenic, and a Topical Budget. GRAND THEATRE, TO-NIGHT. “BEHIND Till" CURTAIN.’> “Behind the . Curtain,” a Universal Picfcime with an all-star cast, to be screened at the Grand Theatre tonight, was adapted from a story written by the head of the U.S.A. Secret Service Bureau, whoi obtained the plot from actual, life. The cast contains such well-known screen performers as Lucille Ricksen, Winifred Bryson, Tohniiv B.arron, Charles Clary, Eric Moyne, George Cooper, Clarence Gelder.t and Pat Harmon. The supporting programme includes two excellent comedies and the latest International News.
