MOTOR ACCIDENT.
POSTMASTER SERIOUSLY INJURED. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. PAHIATUA, Dec. 18. A motor accident occurred at Campibell’s Gully, on the Kaitawa-Hinemoa road, yesterday afternoon. j. J.. France, postmaster at Eketahuria, was seriously injured, and is in a critical condition in the local hosnital. The car went over the bank. Other occupants were H. Scott, uost office chafTeur, Wellington, and H. McGill, senior clerk, General Post Office, Wellington. _ The former had flesh wounds in the thigh, and McGill a few bruises. It was a very wet day, and there wae a dangerous bend. The steering gear failed to respond. McGill had been, sent out by the department to take an independent ballot of settlers regarding a Pahiatua-Eketahuna rural delivery.
