METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.

ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. The anniversary services of the Sunday School ended last night, when the prizes won during the year were presented. The superintendent (Mr E. Dixon) occupied the chair. Hymns, solos and speeches were given during the evening. The secretary (Mr E. Yearbury) read the annual report and balance-sheet. A credit balance was shown of £3 12s 2id. . Several records were broken during the year. On one Sunday no fewer than 212 .were at school, while on many Sundays- the total was over 200. No fewer than 44 pupils w’on the diploma this year. Miss E. Spurdle, Miss W. Rudge and Master 1. Rowe, having completed their seventh, year, were each presented with the superintendent’s prize, a handsome Bible. The roll shows a ■ membership of 245, Young Worshippers’ League 70. The library has been added to this year to the extent of 100 books.

Votes of thanks were given to officers and teachers and to Mr M. Newberry for having trained the children during tpe anniversary. Mention was made of the record of Mi* E. Dixon’s -service in the school, it having been 30 years, during 20 of which he has been superintendent. The prize-giving brought the meeting to a close.
