PERSONAL ITEMS.

Dr. R. G. Stokes, who for the past year has been acting as assistant to Dr. Malcolm in the Department of Physiology, University of Otago, has been appointed to the position of resident medical officer at the Hawera Hospital. Dr. Stokes will arrive about December 17.

The Hawera Hospital Board were advised that Mr H. T. Yvilkinson, who is still an inmate of the Pukeora Sanatorium, was doing better again. Mr B. Searer. who was admitted to the same institution last month, showed no improvement.
