The chief feature of the settlement of the shipping strike is tlie abolition of tlie shipping free labour bureau at Sydney. For. this concession the Watersiders’ Federation agrees: to call off the strike and- allow .all. the men registered at-the bureau to join the Federation. It undertakes that no stoppages oa- sectional strikes shall occur in future. Eyen if ) any dispute arise, no stoppage must occur, while sympathy with strikes is banned until all reasonable avenues of settling disputes have been explored.
