In marked contrast to the inclemency ot conditions on the opening Uay oi the Anglican Bazaar and Christmas Fair, beautiful weather prevailed during the final sessions on r i may, and throughout the afternoon and evening the Town Hall was thronged with an interested crowd. As the result of the energetic efforts ot the stall attendants and the liberal patronage accorded, almost the whole of the goods offering were sold P- m -> the few remaining articles being quickly disposed of at a JJutch 9 auction conducted by Mr. A. Melville. Canvassing with marked success, the stewards of various competitions also achieved results which greatly benefited the bazaar returns. Particular interest was evinced in a heavily laden Christmas tree, presents from which jvere distributed by Father Christmas, who, arrayed in his robes of office, arrived on the scene at 3 p.m., and until the tree was denuded of its gifts spent a. busy time in meeting the many demands made upon his attention..

, a ddition to the stalls operating on the opening day, particulars of which were published on Friday, a general stall stocked with articles donated by Riverlea supporters was conducted on Friday by Mrs. J. Gibson Misses M. Mahnke and M. 0 Neill, of Riverlea. The committee are extremely gratified with the financial results -achievH by the bazaar, and wish to tender their sincere thanks to all who assistecl V 1 +ke work and to the general public for the generous support.
