IN BUTTER PRODUCTION. . FAVOURABLE WEATHER, SEASON’S FIGURES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT (Received Dee. 11, 11.20 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 11. Granted the continuance of the present favourable weather, this season will'witness an eclipse of all previous records in regard to butter production, and the export figures made available by Mr Pratten show that from June 30 to November 15 654,638 boxes of butter were examined by grading officials, compared with 252,513 during the corresponding period of the previous year. No fewer than 524,036 boxes have been sent overseas, as against 349,467 in 1923. The quality has also shown a general improvement, the increased percentage of the highest grade being from 2 to 28 per cent, above that of last year from the principal producing States'.
