CATHOLIC BAZAAR.
CLOSING TO-NIGHT. The Catholic bazaar, which is being held at the Winter Show Buildings, and which will close this evening, has maintained its attractions. The money will go towards the new' church, to supersede the building which has for so long been in use. The funds required for such a big work are being gathered steadily, and naturally those who organised the bazaar look for a good response to their efforts, and to-night .it is expected that the attendance will be larger than ever. Moosman’s Orchestra will be present to supply an interesting programme of music, and the declaration of the prize-winners in the various competitions will be awaited keenly. There are ample attractions at the bazaar to warrant a very attendance of the public. The tug-of-war contests last evening were very keen, resulting in Tanngatara being placed first, Kapuni A second, and Riverdale third. At the conclusion the skippers complimented the .judge, Mr Russell. Monsignor Power thanked Mr Russell and the teams for the interest thev had created in the bazaar. At. the close of the bazaar to-night all remaining articles will be drawn”
